Simple quesiton. We'd like your feedback as to how we could make you general players want to play with us more, and what games you'd like to play with us.

Well, we tried BFBC2, but that didn't really get off the ground (maybe if it was a rush server, or mixed-mode?). When Battlefield 3 comes out, maybe we should try that.

I say CS:s because the game play is similar to DOD:s and I already have it installed, I enjoy the game, and i'm cheap.

I disagree with this, I don't think its all that similar to dods at all. it is still a good game though.

BF3 is off limits since you have to rent from a trusted provider and if you recall, BF2 servers cost over $300 a month when it first came out

id be open to another dods server, css is possible but i despise working on CSS servers if you want anything more than a basic server
(modded servers are extremely difficult to maintain), unless someone else wants to remotely control it

same deal with TF2, i have no idea how tf2 works since ive never played it, id have someone who has experience set it up. l4d2 is doable, the only issue
is when i tried to host my own it was very difficult to get it to work right (map would never change, kicked everyone from lobby etc)

i wouldnt suggest l4d2 at all as the player cap will be very small. i'm up for a battlefield vietnam or reg bad co 2 but mixed maps (not hardcore as most people i know hate it) I know the server before was bad but i think more people bought the game since. Its a good idea to get a more recent game as a way to push KEA forward. I know that a Battlefield 3 server would also be expensive. You guys should know that even if we get a less expensive server we still ALL need to chip in financially (as little as it may be) if we wanna keep the website and servers going.

get me ftp access up and I can help manage any game server. I have boat loads of tf2 and css gungame maps.

Yeah, i have a 10 GB directory with all the maps i've collected over the years from DODS, TF2 and CSS. After I reinstall my OS and steam, i can just copy them back instead of download them from a slow server.

i made some suggestions but to tell you the truth , i prob wont play CSS... only old game i'd play is DOD (and i've hardly played much of that since i built my new rig). Battlefield Vietnam all the way. Progression with new games is key for KEA (old Bad co 2 server was not popular like i said in prev post but im sure theres peeps out there with newer rigs nowadays). As as side note even though DOD is picking up lately i dont think its necessary we get a new DOD server. L4D2 has a limited player cap, and TF2 is shit.
