Tannerite/Thermite explosion

Ok kids, I am gunna but 20 pounds of tannerite. Tannerite example:

(The fun starts around 2:00)

And my question to all of you is: Can tannerite be "set off" with thermite?

I know that on wiki.com and on the tannerite video it says that tannerite can't be "set off" with heat/flame. But in this video:
Tannerite In Oregon
Around 0:35 it looks like thermite is placed on top of the 1/2 pound of tannerite, which in tern "sets off" the tannerite.

Since some of you have a military background and may have used tannerite for target practice while in training, and possibly been briefed on its propertys, I would definately like you 2¢.

A flame would not set off tannerite, but thermite burns much much much hotter than a flame, so I would think it probably would work.  That's an educated guess though, I don't actually know anything about tannerite.

Well, I have about 10 pounds of thermite in my room right now. But I don't have the tannerite YET.....

the thermite isnt really expensive..the tannerite is

idk..all thermite does is generate a high deal of heat and thus iron melt,doesnt blow up like tnt cause it doesnt produce any gas
and the tannerite..idk too much money for a fake explosion

Just had Tannerite. The thermite won't ignite tannerite. Tannerite will only detonate by getting hit by a bullet or other object moving and hitting it with a high impulse energy. It detonates, it doesn't explode.

Have you tested this and know for a fact, or have you just read it or heard it from word of mouth? And yeah, I have read the same thing but, in that vidoe it wasn't a gun shot that ignited it, it was a bright/violent firework (thermite) of some type....
