yea i'd rather get the 920 and overclock it to a stable 3.4 rather than pay that much for a *960
ATI seems to have the better bang for your buck these days.
meh i'd rather a 256 bit card rather than those 128's and a 1920x1200 native resolution monitor like the one you got (samsung). You got the T240 hd right?
Yeah, I have the ATI Radeon HD 5870 myself. It runs well, though I wish it was faster in Metro 2033. I'm running at 1080p (1920 x 1080) though. The other components in my system are:Gigabyte X58A-UD7 motherboardCore i7 920 CPU, at stock speed6GB RAM620 watt Enermax PSU1 TB hard drive
ATi is always better, enjoy your housefire with a 480. not to mention that thing sucks power like nothing else. as much as a 5970, which is the most powerful grafics card on the market, due to its dual GPU's.if you need CUDA or PhysX then get a GTX 480, but for dual monitors eyefinity is king.2 GTX 460's in SLI are the same price as a GTX 480, but with more preformance. but both are more expensive than a 5870.
but if you had $700 laying around i would strongly suggest the 5970,
yea well if you have $1200 laying around just get the Asus Ares http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-ares-review/1
