Back, with fried memory

Hey guys,

I actually got back from France a while ago, but was unpleasantly surprised when my computer refused to boot up. It turned out one of my memory sticks was fried, and so I am now running on 1GB of RAM. Now this is alright for browsing and old games, but when it comes to newer ones, it doesn't cut it. Money is tight right now, but I should be able to replace it in a month or so. I haven't tried DoD:S yet, but I should be on shortly. If I'm lucky, it should run alright, as the rest of my computer is more than up to snuff. We'll see.

I am also fucked.  My computer was lost due to a fire in my office in my home.  Should be up in about 6 weeks according to my insurance provider.  Still have my laptop and will be on the forums. Just my office got minor damage,  however, the computer was totalled.

I had two 1GB modules of Corsair DDR2-1066-PC2-8500 RAM at 5-5-5-15-2T. My E6600 C2D CPU was overclocked from 2.4 to ~2.8GHz on stock cooling, and the memory was overclocked proportionally. I really never pushed it that hard, but it did last me three years.

I was on earlier today. It runs alright, but chokes a little. I just need to lower my settings and it will run fine until I can replace the stick.

And fury, this is a clan, and a casual one at that. It's pretty much a social group. It's not a fucking full time commitment. I was off for a few weeks after vacation, looking for work so I can make some cash, and doing some shit with friends. Contrary to what you might think, I have a life outside DoD:S.
