Fan Problem
« on: February 05, 2009, 03:42:03 PM »
K, so I'm fixing the computer at my aunt's that isn't running right, and it turns out the fan is messed up. I looked for the same fan, not available, and the company's website doesn't even have a record of them making it. It's a 120 MM fan, would you think and fan the same size, that fits the case will work fine? As long as it throws say, 50 CFM? The pc is all stock, pentium 4, all I know. On board gfx, help?

any 120mm fan will work fine.. 120 mm fan work at lower cfm than 80mm fans as they are bigger and can move more air with less rotations.. but anyways.. any 120mm fan will work fine..

I agree, it shouldn't make any difference.

Gee, if I'd known you make money from Newegg by using the link I would have. I just spent almost a grand on new hardware from them. I'll keep this in mind next time I buy hardware from Newegg.

we make money off any of the links on our front page. then we use that money towards give-aways, eg a graphics card
