What do you all use to change D.O.D. S: demos ?

I cant play Source demos on Windows or Real player? Will Quicktime or another player play Source demos? Or do I need a converter like I do to play youtube videos on my MP3 player.?

I was able to play a demo about a year back using VLC media player without conversion I think

i think the only way to play them is in dods, hit the ~ key, and then type "playdemo xxx" and it will play. then you can use fraps or something that will record it too, windows media file.

hum, well try what whores gave, and if that doesnt work, then i dont know either, have you tried just deleting steam and all its games and starting steam over again?
