Would updating my video card help with my ping or my lag spikes? I get them farely often....And if it won't help eithor one of these things, how will it help me?

in a rare case it might help..its always a good thing to update em regardless of DOD

things that will lower ur ping:

a better bandwidth/better ISP
a faster computer
a better (more gooder) Video card
disabling applications u dont need while u play (*.exes,torrents,msn,etc) from the task manager..it'll help a lil bit..BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHUT DOWN EXPLORER.EXE / SPOOLS / svhost OR STEAM

Fury posted lots of stuff that sound nice but wont lower your ping/lag spikes. A better Internet or playing at off peak hours is about it.

ok, thanks. BTW do you know of any good sites to get a driver for a Nvidia graphics card? I have tried the one on our forums but it doesn't have my model. And I tried the Nvidia website but when I began to install it after downloading the (possible) correct driver, it dumped shit all over my desk top...

Use the auto detect feature on the Nvidia site..  It will self install the drivers..
