steam friends list going offline

is it just me, or is my friends list always going down. it seems like i always get the message saying a connection could not be made to the steam servers. and some other stuff. i asked steam about this, and they claimed that their steam servers 99% of the time are up. they go down once a week for 5 min for maintenance. but it seems like mine is down for about 5 min each day.

is anyone else have similar problems to this?

I have the same problem sometimes to kill. I just have to reconnect my router and it comes up fine. linksys routers suck ass....at least mine does.

they are doing maintenance on the steam servers so they have been going down some tonight.

I get that also.  I just re boot and it comes up fine

I have the same problem also. It's steam. Would you expect anything else?
