right on.  all the demo PCs at PAX and GDC and whatnot were running BF3 on a GTX580 so you should be fuckin set.  I have a GTX 460 but Im thinking I might upgrade to the 580 myself

yea it will, but im hoping it pays off in the end. it costs 525.00 so only 25 bucks over reference card but i can oc that bitch to 1gig (ref clocks are 772)

thtas a lot of money to throw on a card for one game. if you remember back in BF2 days when it came out the demos and stuff ran on a 6800 ultra and a 7800 (SF) and thats what they recommended, but it would run on a 6600 at highest settings just fine. im probably gonna get a 560 TI and sell my radeon 5850

im not just getting it for Battlefield 3, i bought my rig back in nov of last year but without a gpu (still gaming with an 8800 ultra).  580 lightning should last me a while

if your going to see your 5850, right now is the perfect time. AMD cards ire in high demand because of bitcoins. you can sell that shit right now for as much as you originally paid for it.
