Disputing ban

hey, i was downloading a large file from rapidshare while my game was minimized, and when i returned to the game, my ping was > 800 and i was trying to explain to people that i was downloading a file and it would be done in less than 10 minutes since i have a 20 Mb connection, and i was told to get the fuck out and was banned. that was real nice considering the fact that i've played on the server all the time now and being the only server i EVER play on anymore, this is not fair, especially since i'm trying to join the KEA team. thanks

you should have left the server until your ping normalized, but i agree a ban and extreme hostility for this sounds like an overreaction, especially to a server regular

For what its worth, I like Dylan, he plays fair and I always have a good time on the server with him. Thats not to say he's not a complete douche for dragging down everyones ping with his huge movie download about "chicks with dicks" but he's probably learned his lesson and I doubt he would make such a NooB mistake again if he's found worthy of a second chance.

While generally i am the asshole, I agree that a perma was WAY overboard.  While you shouldn't have been on while you were downloading (I kick people over 300 regularly, and will temp ban if they keep returning)  A perma was quite the over-reaction.  I am sure you'll be unbanned soon, But please, for future reference, do NOT play on the server while you are downloading.

i thought perma was issued for hacking/cheating ONLY (some exceptions apply)..who banned him?

It was just a 10 min ban, and it was issued by Ban Em.  Not that I speak for him, but everything should be all cleared by now.

it was a 10 min ban, dont assume shit. you said 10 min for the dl to finish, you wouldnt leave i kicked you, you came back so i gave you a 10 min ban. get the fuck over yourself.
