well they didnt say shit about ep3, which leads me to believe they're being sneaky and that ep3/l4d2 are going to come out in a package like the Orange Box, which means you wont play full price for l4d2 so everyone can quit whining about that.  my reason for thinking this is that the l4d2 release date is right about the 11th anniversary of Half-Life.

yep, but i'm pretty good at it by this point, i have worked at halflife2.net for five years now (since before hl2 came out... thus the press Steam account) and i'm pretty familiar with Valve... this all just seems a little fishy to me.

I hope for their sake anyway, cause the HL2 community is NOT excited about this news... sure, woot L4D2, but wtf is with them not peeping about Ep3 at E3 for the second year in a row?

Its 360, but that means itll be 50$ for PC.  I am one of the people that paid 50$ the day L4D came out.  I wasted my money, I expected a lot more content.  Without the SDK ever being released, there aren't even any mods for it.  I won't be buying L4D2.

actually the beta for the L4D SDK (which they call the L4D Authoring Tools, for some reason separate from the usual Source SDK) came out a couple of weeks ago, and they are working on giving matchmaking support to custom content and also overhauling the matchmaking system.

i think your asscheeks are talking winters.  valve has said there will be no HL3 but that doesn't mean that episode 3 will be the end of Half-Life... in fact it almost certainly will not be.  they aren't going to tell everything in ep3, just wrap up the current story arc (which hopefully means finally letting us in on who the fuck the gman is) but there will almost guaranteed be some kind of future HL series, just not called HL3.  also valve has more money than god, i dunno where you got that from.
