Would updating my video card help with my ping or my lag spikes? I get them farely often....And if it won't help eithor one of these things, how will it help me?

-
in a rare case it might help..its always a good thing to update em regardless of DOD

things that will lower ur ping:

 a better bandwidth/better ISP
 a faster computer
a better (more gooder) Video card
disabling applications u dont need while u play (*.exes, torrents, msn, etc) from the task manager..it'll help a lil bit..BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHUT DOWN EXPLORER.EXE / SPOOLS / svhost OR STEAM

cuttin down on the porn download COULD HELP A LOT

Fury posted lots of stuff that sound nice but wont lower your ping/lag spikes. A better Internet or playing at off peak hours is about it.

ok, thanks. BTW do you know of any good sites to get a driver for a Nvidia graphics card? I have tried the one on our forums but it doesn't have my model. And I tried the Nvidia website but when I began to install it after downloading the (possible) correct driver, it dumped shit all over my desk top... :(

Use the auto detect feature on the Nvidia site..  It will self install the drivers..
