MAC Computers

Are Mac's somewhat good computers because I have a friend who works with Mac Computers tech support and she can get me a good computer for under 200$. I was wondering if I would be able to Install L4D, DOD and my other games onto the MAC Computer ( I dont have all the specific details about the computer yet, I am going to my cottage on Friday and when I meet her I will ask about the specs ).

You can emulate Windows on a MAC, but I have no idea how and if Source games will work or not through emulation.

To be honest, the only difference these days between MACs and PCs is the operating software.  MACs are now running intel processors and windows can be installed on them just the same as a PC.

Steam and the games associated with it (DOD) are NOT supported on a MAC.  It is a windows only based system.  You MIGHT get it to work but chances are it won't even install.

That being said, stick with a PC.  You can do more with them and the technology is evolving faster than with a MAC.

MAC is only good for editing music and video and pics. other than that they blow! Just ask shippo about them.

macs suck dick compared to pc for just about anything unless you're a casual computer user who only uses it for internet and fucking around with garageband, or maybe if you're a video editor or graphic designer
