i check that the 260 look great the 295 only work for vista so i got xp :(
a small question do a graphique card whit NVIDIA® HybridPower™ Technology will work on a motherbord tha don have NVIDIA® HybridPower™ Technology on it ?? becau i got a msi k9n diamonb motherbord
-
I highly doubt the 295 works on vista only.
You'll most lilkely need a new mobo. i am soo not looking that up, so i have no idea.
You can do a simple google search :P
-
worp get a 9800gt by evga or get one of the cards reccomended above. I have a 9800 gt and it draws current from the motherboard as well as the psu via a 6 pin connector that hooks directly into the psu.
-
i have an 8800 gt its a little older but it still rocks ass. upgrade away man, if you have the money nvidia is the way to go right now
-
i have 2 9800 gtx 1gigs. Looove em
-
well i buy a XFX gtx 260 576m 896mb for 260$ including tax transport
worke good :)
-
gtx260 makes my gaming life happy and it can yours too
so long as your mobo has a PCI-E slot it will work fine

A great card if you have a decent power supply to run it.
-
I was thinking of upgrading my video card, but I looked inside my case last night and it only has a 400watt power supply. :(
-
you can upgrade your PSU as well, in fact if you have 400w i would recommend it, that's pretty low by today's standards

I'm just being lazy, LOL. I work on machine all day at work, but as soon as I get home I seem to break my computer anytime I work on it.
Right now the 400W power supply runs 2 640GB sata HD, 8GB ram, quad core processor, 1 DVD r/w drive, and the 9800gt. I think it will crap out of I go to the gtx260 or the Radeon 4870 without putting in a new PSU first. I really want the R4870-MD1G (http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Video-R4870-MD1G-Radeon-4870/dp/tech-data/B001VMAY9I/ref=de_a_smtd). It has good reviews and has an HDMI port!!

You need at least a 500 watt PSU. I reccomend pc power and cooling. Almost all of the other psu manufacturers play the rate games and use poor quality parts. Pc power and cooling uses top quality parts and is very reliable, plus they put their specs on there and dont try to bump their shit up. That is why their psu cost more than the competition, and it will last you longer in the long run.

Amazed the 400w can even HANDLE what you have now
Upgrade that shit, it's dirt cheap to get a 800w that'll handle enough.

No they dont WORP. All Nvidia 200 series cards will run in pci-express x16 just not as fast which is not much of a difference now.
