I wouldnt skimp on the PSU, better off with something more reliable.

im just going to re-use my old PSU and throw it in there for him. it powered my maxvoltage CPU and my max overclocked 4890, so i think it will handle.

Not really. I want 3 monitors, which would be less than $500. She wants a new camera body, which would be $2000+....

so yeah, my ideas aren't that bad.

No, it's a OCZ SOLID 3 SSD 120 GB capacity. On of their lines is solid 3. Good work dummy

they're the same price currently on newegg, hopefully they come down more next year. The new octane series is supposed to go down a lot. Not buying till they come down to 1$ a gig
