Title: MAC Computers
Post by: The Wolf on May 11, 2009, 10:10:13 PM: Are Mac's somewhat good computers because I have a friend who works with Mac Computers tech support and she can get me a good computer for under 200$. I was wondering if I would be able to Install L4D, DOD and my other games onto the MAC Computer ( I dont have all the specific details about the computer yet, I am going to my cottage on Friday and when I meet her I will ask about the specs ).

Post by: [KEA] Goatsack (Penree) on May 12, 2009, 07:43:45 AM: To be honest, the only difference these days between MACs and PCs is the operating software. MACs are now running intel processors and windows can be installed on them just the same as a PC.

Steam and the games associated with it (DOD) are NOT supported on a MAC. It is a windows only based system. You MIGHT get it to work but chances are it won't even install.

That being said, stick with a PC. You can do more with them and the technology is evolving faster than with a MAC.
