Turn of PC. Unplug power cord. Open case. Take screwdriver. Take out hardrive. Drop from 2nd story window. Pick up. Turn oven to Broil. Back for 30 minutes. Go to someone elses house and go to newegg.com.

I have heard of this before, but never encountered it.  Most people I see use the recycle bin as a place to store files.

you would be amazed what people do with computers and the recycle bin.  An amazing article (slightly technical) can be found at http://sharkbait.computerworld.com/?q=node/2698 (http://sharkbait.computerworld.com/?q=node/2698)  Doesn't involve the Recycle Bin, but the Deleted Items in Outlook/Exchange.
