How do you get rid of pic limitation in DoD?

(1/2) > >>

Corvette1:
This morning, I had to re-install DoD:S since it was screwing up at times. When I went to apply my pic of the Corvette, it said I needed to have a pic with pixels of 258, 128, etc.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  Jim Jones told me to go to steam forums, but I don't have an account, or at least one that I can seem to log in with  >:(   Anyway, some help would be greatly appreciated

open the picture, and go to resize the image or whatever to a smaller image size. Someone else might be able to explain it more.

fury:
1ST-open you .jpg with pothoshop
2nd- resize to 128 x 128 or 256 x 256 (maximum)-i go with 256x256 ..
3rd save it as vtx eight bit alpha-point-unsharpen mask
4th copy it into the steam/steamapplications/material/vgui/logos (not sure of the real folder path)
5th import it from the options menu

and ur good to go

Corvette1:
thats all good, but I don't own photoshop.  I'm npt at all sure my pic will fit the 256x256 format either. Why did they have to put this stupid restriction on the pics anyway?  ::)   Whats it going to solve?
