Title: Binding Keys and other junkola
Post by: Canadian|Hammer on September 03, 2008, 06:14:53 PM
Can we possibly get a sticky about binding keys?  Ive never really bothered with anything behind the scenes so to speak, like binding keys or skins or whatever, things like how people say "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" or "move with the tank" or that kind of thing... and I can never remember the syntax for binding a key

hammer! i havent seen you on the forums yet. welcome. what you do is

Code: [Select]
bind F10 say "hello"
i think thats how you do it, and if you want only your team to hear, use, team_say "hello"

i think thats how it works, anyone want to give me an ok or not?  :-\

- for medic (using letter "p" as an example):

bind p "say !medic"  (type this in console)

- your location on the map (using "M" as example) (ex.:" I'm a ASSAULT at FOUNTAIN with 100h health remaining"):

bind "m" "say_team I'm a %c at %l with %h health remaining"  (type in console)

%c broadcasts your class.
%l broadcasts your current location (or nearest landmark).
%h broadcasts your current health level.
%t broadcasts the current time.

- WTF:

bind w "voice_wtf"

I might of screwed up somewhere, but if it doesn't work, let me know.

I bind medic, admin controls and "where i am". I use the "where i am" because since we have alltalk on, I hate saying where i am or going to the other team.
