"Keyboard failure"

Have you guys ever had a "keyboard failure"? Cuz I started up my computer this morning and it made a horrid buzzing/beeping sound and said keyboard failure. I just wanted to know if this means that just my keyboard has died or if it means that my actual keyboard port has failed. Any usefull information is helpfull!  ;D

Note:I am using my sister laptop, ergo I can type this post. And NO I do not have a spare keyboard that I can hook-up to see if it is just the keyboard that has gone bad.

its likely ur keyboard..i suggest u buy a new one..they are like 7 bucks so it wont hurt to have a spare one.as far as i know,theres no other way to test the port

NVM guys, I just took the keyboard apart, cleaned the contacts with ammonia, blew it off with the air compressor to get rid of any remaining dust and now it works fine.  ;D

talk about cheapo...wont spend 7 lousy dollars to get a brand new keyboard.

Why the hell do you guys spend that much on a piece of plastic with buttons? Go to some yard sale and get one for $0.25 WAY BETTER DEAL.  ;D

because of response time, space between keys, lights up so its good for the dark. more programmable keys.

mines got a wave texture so some of the keys are raised. I've gotten so used to it now that it's wierd playing/using a regular keyboard.
