i learned this in my crime and justice class (blow off class)

a man in 1992 called the police and told them there would be 4

muders in 5 minutes and the cops have to be there within the 5

minutes or the 4 people would be killed, cops showed up in 10

minutes, found 4 dead bodies, then a man called the police again and

gave them all his information and told them he was boarding a plane

at a new york airport within the next 30 minutes and they only had

one chance to catch him and gave them the exact location where he

would be waiting. instead of the cops, the FBI showed up and locked

down the whole airport, never found the man, a phone call to the

police was made 10 minutes later saying that there was 5 dead

bodies in a dumpster outside of a new york police station and had his

finger prints all over the bodies and left his ID, social security card

and birth certificate and left a note saying "too bad so sad"

they never caught the man and never released his name or

information, and it is still an on going investigation

i asked my teacher today, she said that they did a search of his records and showed that he boarded a plane to Canada then to Mexico, then  to Jamaica then to Russia and that was the last plane ride in that name. and that i guess was the only information they told the press

The police would rather not catch the guy to make him keep his mouth shut (because if he spoke people would know where to find him) rather than catch him and risk the chance that he would bad mouth the police and local authorities...

ask your teacher if there is any info on the internet about it. i've taken two criminology classes, one was taught by an old cop from california, and the other from a lady from NY, i'm not saying it didn't happen, but i do think there would be something on the internet about it, or at least more people would know about it.
