A lot of guys build their own. However, I got a Dell XPS 9600 with two 500 gig hard drives...no problems.

you can always build one or buy one, whats your price range. and remember

I don't know that building is an option, I'm old and computer eliterate, but I do need the suggestions
for what to look for.

look for at least a intel core 2 duo, quad, i5, i7, amd phenom x4 II.
for videocard, you want a geforce GTs 250 or higher.
HD, depends on how much music, games, videos you have. 500 gigs is usually fine.
There is no need for more than 4 gigs of ram unless you are doing hardcore photoshop or video editing.
Maybe you should buy a computer instead of building one.

I usually recommend Gateway if you are buying a PC. just me though

Go with a 260 gtx card,
4 gigs of ram is usually plenty
I am not an intel fan so go with the AMD II x4
