I got a new computer last year when Sandy Bridge-E came out.

I'm running a Core i7 3930K on an Asus P9X79 Deluxe with 16 GB of G.Skill DDR3 (1866). I'm currently running a Gigabyte Ultra Durable GTX-580 because there are no Windows 8 Consumer Preview drivers yet for my HD 7970. Power supply is an Enermax MODU 87+ 850W unit. My system hard drive is a 1TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D. Data drive is a 1.5TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K3000. All this is in a Corsair 650D case.

Keyboard is a Logitech G110, and mouse is a Logitech G500. Monitor is a 24" Samsung BX2450. Sound output is through Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers, but I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD 600 headphones.

Lol Im getting an ssd. it was a little out of budget at the time. I like red personally and the power supply is to allow myself the ability to sli without any problems or the pain of having to buy a new power supply. i usually plan for the future when I get a pc so I dont have to fuck with anything. Id actually let you guys give me shit if i bought one of those power supplys with color changers. lol.

I for one don't skimp on the power supply unit. The PSU I'm using now is a high efficiency modular 800W unit (Enermax Modu87+, model EMG800EWT) I got in May of last year for $179.99. I moved it from my last build (that I sold off in parts on eBay) to the one I'm using now.
