Title: RAM
Post by: D-MAN on March 21, 2009, 09:47:12 PM
Is there a trick to putting RAM in to an old computer? Because I got 2GB of RAM for my older computer and it won't even register that there is a new RAM chip in it...

In my new computer that I play DODs on I got RAM for it a few months ago and all I had to do was stick it and and it went.

But the older computer is a pain in my ass....any tips to get it to work?

Do you have your Bios running the newest version? Maybe the ram is to large for the motherboard to recognize.

Hey guys I figured it out and blah#2 you were right. The 2GB of RAM that I got was too big for my computer to recognize. I have found that the most RAM my computer can support is 512MB (256MB each slot). Thanks for your words of wisdom... ;D
