Title: TEA parties (Taxed Enough Already?)...Yea or Nea?
Post by: D-MAN on April 15, 2009, 07:55:23 PM
Due to recent screw-ups in our economy people have been loosing jobs, houses and money desperately needed. Even through such hardships the government still feels the need to tax the living hell out of its loyal citizens....My question to you is are you for or against this "taxation without representation", and why are you for or against it?

if they are "loyal citizens" shouldn't they have no problem paying a lil extra tax for the better of the country?

OMG Sloppy! a loyal citizen wouldnt mind paying a little extra? WTF?  Its my goddamn money. Fuck the politicians and their reckless spending. Why should my money go to pay for some poor lazy fuck so he doesnt starve or freeze? Why should my fucking money be sent to countries that hate us so they dont starve or freeze?  I bet you cant answer that.

i don't agree with the taxes, i was jus sayin the goal is to make the country better, so if it does that you shouldn't worry so much about yourself.

When my money is going to bail out failed companies, then no, I will not pay extra taxes.  We are not a collectivist country, we are a country of individuals with our own goals.

edited, but it's funny how the country had that same point of view until the great depression, heard of it? once again not saying we should be bailing out these companies or not, but how quickly history is forgotten.

Oh, I remember the great depression.  I need to do some research on this, but from what I understand, FDR's New Deal (ie, spending money, government ownership) actually extended the great depression and did nothing for jobless rates.

Still I need to do the research on this one.  Just putting it out there if anyone has any figures supporting/debunking this one.

THE PICTURE HERE

Jesus hates gay people, such as yourself. So, I think he would say, "Fuck you, make them 10%."

i'm not talking about the new deal, i'm talking about how society felt about there money. but they didn't get out of the depression until they started to join/aid england with the war effort, and got factories up and running again. but it the new deal didn't extend the great depression.

Actually the new deal did extend the great depression.  According to some studies by up to ten years.
