Title: Can't connect to Steam!

All of a sudden I get a warning (from Steam) that I'm not connected to the internet, and I can't connect to Steam. The whole time I'm surfing away with a strong cable speed connection. No game playing fun until I get this figured out. Anybody had this problem in the past? Help!

I've never had this problem. The only problem I had similar to this is that my steam was working but my MSN Messenger and FIREFOX were not working, as if I had no internet, which was weird.

Unless someone posts how to solve this, I'd contact steam about this, either directly or on their forums.

Or uninstall steam and re-install it.

i also cannot connect to steam i don know whats up my conection to teh internet is fine

I just had that problem but mine was from a virus or something. My Instant Messenger (Trillian) and Limewire were the only two programs I had that could access the internet correctly. Steam would work like once a week. I finally got pissed off enough and re-installed windows. Solved my problem but like I said, I think it was a virus or something.

not sure wha mine is worked fine a few days ago i don download anything on this computer or even use limewire on the one im on now. im gona contact steam tomorrow n hopefully get an answer

LOL, i had this problem once, about 2 years ago, i couldnt play for 2 months. your gonna have to ask your internet provider for help, or get a IT guy. but when you do get it back running, here is what you should get

so i tried everything i still cant log nto steam

ok after a system restore ,talkin to my ip/ dell support, n 3 reinstalls later im back and playin. it appears a file was corrupted on ma steam.exe. but issue is resolved
