What's In Your Rig?

Joeseph Geobbels:
i would rather have the 3gb version. the 1.5gb kind of bottlenecks the 580 at high resolution. thats what AMD has going for them, the actually put a good amount of ram on their cards, but they have eyefinity, so i guess they need to.

TastyTaste:
1.5 is all you need to game at 1920x1200 (thats the res i play at on my 24inch samsung monitor) the 3gb card helps minimum frame rate about 3-5 fps but not worth the money imo. ....but like i said , it was the only card at the time that had a great heatsink.  It gets HOT down here in the caribbean.

pixiestyx:
Between my 2 cards I have 1.5 gb of ram.  It works out for me.  Thinking of multi monitor set up with next tax return :)

TastyTaste:
multimonitor is overrated for me

Joeseph Geobbels:
when you crossfire or SLI cards, the amount of ram doesnt add up, each card can only use their dedicated VRAM. they cant combine VRAM. a SLI/xfire bridge helps the GPUs communicate.
