Dual Screen DOD
« on: August 31, 2009, 12:25:24 AM »
Right

I have 2 22inch monitors at home, (one vga, One DVI) when i run DOD (or any steam game) it runs on the left one (which is fine)

What i want to be able to do tho, is Have DOD running on one monitor (left) and Have it that i can hit esc, which shows my mouse cursor, then click cross on something on the right hand monitor, without making dod minimise and freeze for a moment or 10.

any help on that would be just fantastic...

Michael Collins: And what is my brief, Cathal?

Cathal Brugha: Intelligence.

Michael Collins: Bullshit! I'm Minister for Gun-Running, Daylight Robbery, and General Mayhem.

Right clic on desk top, personalize, display settings, at this point should be able to set monitor settings.

You may need to play DoD in windows mode and make it the full size of the one monitor. Then you can just move your mouse to the other screen.

honestly I'm not sure what you're problem is.  One of my friend has a 2nd monitor on during gaming with xfire and trillian windows in the 2nd monitor, he has no problem hitting escape and moving the mouse over.  Like others have said, check all of your windows settings.

I run it with dual monitors also,  one 19inch hanns g monitor that  have had for almost 3 years,   and the 22" asus monitor that is set at 1920 x 1080  at all times.  The time it takes for dod to unminimize is only about 3-5 seconds for me, so it does not bother me much.   But what you should do is run the game in a window like someone earlier said.
